As part of Windows 11's Shell team, I worked on bringing the Widgets to your screens!
The role in Core OS & Intelligence Edge group (formerly WDG Core) has evolved fast over last few years. Now, primary focus of being a Software Engineer in Data and Intelligence is to leverage big data and machine learning to deliver meaningful interpretations so that business decisions can be made while maintaining the best customer experience and user experience.
- Primary owner of Desktop Windows Manager, font streaming, 2D DirectX and co-owner of rendering
- Former owner of the Notification space: Tiles, Badges, Toasts, raw notifications, scheduled and periodic notifications. Co-owner of Project Rome (Like App-to-App below, but cross-device/cloud).
- Former owner of App-to-App space: File and Uri Picker, Share technology, co-owner of Clipboard technology, App Services technology (allows apps to use Cortana’s Voice Command), Uri Launcher, and App Uri Handler (app-supported links).
- Visualized telemetry data using internal platforms, and PowerBI to show performance, reliability, and usage of scenarios while showcasing bugs and their impact on the sample population.
- Identified issues and helped customers such as Facebook find solutions to implement new features.
- Created internal APIs, instrumented telemetry, participated in spec reviews for new connection provider.
- Created internal test apps, for testing, debugging, tracing and telemetry generation: Apps included Notifications sample, Remote Sessions app utilizing maps and videos, Project Rome device finder app etc.
- Used diagnostic tools to find locations of bugs, and snap traces based on telemetry triggers.
- Developed solutions for Build 2015 Conference presentation due to limitations with the network.
- Formerly owner of Zero-Day and post-release bug-fix validation, which includes delegating manual testing.
- Created samples on Windows GitHub samples for Notifications and VoIP.
- Participated in hackathons to create new solutions to everyday work-day problems such as telemetry event pattern recognition software that compares multiple traces to help find root cause of an issue, and machine learning algorithm that studies characteristics of toast notifications that have highest click-through rate.

- Started as a Tech Intern, the company left an open door for me, allowing me to come back and take up more important roles such as quality assurance, designing, software engineering in an Agile environment
- Worked as QA on licensed iOS titles of brands such as Thomas & Friends, Sesame Street, Whole Living & Martha Stewart reporting bugs into JIRA; stabilized frame rate for older devices for various titles
